Sony RX100 MKii Exposure Simulation Flaw

Hello Sony. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news.

I've just tried to use the Sony RX100 MKii in the studio and found a problem.

Exposure simulation in Manual Mode. It needs a toggle so it can be turned off so you can use manual focussing and see what you are focussing on.

This is a quote from another persons findings, which I found in trying to see a solution to this problem.

"There is a flaw with the hot shoe implementation. You can't turn off exposure simulation and this will for most cases make the LCD black, when you dial the correct shutter speed / aperture values for external flashes... Highly inconvenient. Though the LCD will brighten up for a second or so when you AF, it will remain dark for the rest of the time, so it does not help much. It should be possible to switch exposure simulation off. With for example Samsung cameras, Canon etc., there is a menu option "framing mode" for this exact purpose (external flashes)"

Please help with this. This is a great camera and it only needs a few software tweaks to be totally awesome.

Regards

SB.
