RDP-X200IP cutting out

New Xmas present, the unit stops making a sound after a few minutes. The music app (spotify) continues to play, and the connection between device and unit is kept - but there is no sound from the unit. This happens consistently in both iPod and Bluetooth mode, on both an iPad and iphone5, and with and without the D-sappli app installed. Anyone else with issues? Any sony suggestions to remedy this?
