Hi,
I recently purchased the Sony 840 AV receiver and i have hooked up my old Xbox via optical cable and component cables connected to the TV (its an old Xbox 360 that does not have HDMI). All my other kit is Sony therefore the HDMI "control is on" so that there is BRAVIA sync with the Blu Ray, TV, DVD recorder etc.
The problem i have is that I am unable to change the TV to the component input (e.g. TV Input 4 for the Xbox) and also get the audio from the AV receiver without the AV receiver automatically changing the TV input back to the AV receiver (e.g. TV Input 1). 
Is it possible to set the input of the AMP (e.g. GAME) to only output audio but keep the HDMI passthrough for all the other inputs?
A somewhat specific request i appreciate but the answer seems very simple so i'm wondering if i have connected the system correctly, any help would be much appreciated.
