Blu ray region

hello, i have a bdv e2100 home theater system that is region B for blu ray and 2 for dvds but for some reason i can play region 1 dvds without a problem but i can't play region A blu rays? My question is, is it possible to play region A blu rays since it can play multi region dvds ?

Bluray and DVD regions are different and hence multi-region DVD is different to Bluray.
