ct 790 please wait on display for 10 minutes

Hi Guys

could anyone help me please, i have a ct790 sound bar connected to a sony bravia 43xe7073 with HDMI cable connected to the ARC sockets

lately when system switched on please wait will keep scrolling across sound bar display & no sound through sound bar

i have unplugged tv & sound bar power cords & HDMI Lead , contacts in leads are good

i cannot get to setup screen to update software

any help would be appreciated

Hi Steve808,

I took a look at the Manual and since you will need to access the menus either to update or reset the unit, there's nothing to do apart from consulting with you nearest service centre which can be located using this link:

https://locator.sony/en_GB/servicecenters

Thanks for the advice i went to local sony service center , they carried out a reset and carried out software update

the soundbar now works correctly
