DN1080 display panel not working correctly since software update

Since upgrading the software (M41.R.0445 for STR-DN1080) the display panel on the receiver isn't functioning properly.  The amp all works fine, with the exception of the display.  It comes on after a while and then stops working again.

I have performed a Reset and am not on Pure Direct.

Is this a known issue or any suggestions?

Hi Nick, I am not familiar with this myself, but you can contact Support here if you experience any technical issues after updating the firmware.

Did you ever get an update to this?  I also have the same unit, and am holding off allowing it to update.

No.  Only to take Sony repair centre.

It could be coincidence.  It seems that Display problems are not uncommon with these units.
