Sony KD-498305C ARC problem with Pioneer VSX S300-K

Hi, sorry don't know what happened with the body of the 1st post but it won't let me edit so here is my problem

I have the above equipment and they were working with ARC on my HDMi 4 (ARC) socket, but having had problems with the TV, I decided to Reset the unit. Now , I have tried all suggestions here on the forum and from here https://www.sony.com/electronics/support/articles/00191214 to try and get it all back working . The Pioneer is set to ARC and HDMI Control , but I cannot find any setting as described here https://www.sony.com/electronics/support/articles/00016881 to enable ARC on the TV. I try putting Bravia Control on, but it seems to not find a compatble unit. As I say this was working before resetting my TV, but just to make sure I have purchased 2 other brands of HIGH Speed HDMI cables ( one which specifically says it supports ARC) https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00DYQCVO0/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00__o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 but still having no luck.

Please can someone help me. I have tried disconnecting all other HDMI units on the TV and the AMP, but just can't get it working again. I wish I had never reset the TV!

I'm sorry, I'm a bit confused.

Could you tell us more what do you mean by the ARC is not working? Are you unable to control both devices with the same remote control? Is there no sound?

Both, it used to pass the audio, and it also would give a message saying "Audio system Connected" as the amp turned on. When I would turn my TV on/off it would auto power on the amp on/off

Hi wilx01,

Could you press on Home, Settings, Audio/ Sound, Speakers and choose Audio system?
Also, could you try to disable/enable the Bravia Sync control settings by pressing on Home, Settings, External Inputs, Bravia Sync control on?
