There are so many problems with the STR DN1080 that I am surprised that Sony haven't recalled it and refunded all the customers. I returned two of these amps in a month with numerous problems. e.g. no picture but sound only, settings menu suddenly displaying erratic vertical lines on the TV; Resetting casing "Clearing" to flash on the amp window for ever(I switched it off after 24 hours). I returned the 2nd one and bought a Yamaha instead.
I am surprised how such a faulty amp managed to get 5 star reviews. The sound may be great but the manufacturing quality is absolutely rubbish - a huge blow to Sony's reputation. I was going to buy the latest Sony Oled TV but not anymore.
