UBP X800 No Dolby Atmos

Hi

Any suggestions why I'm unable to get Atmos soundtrack through my Denon 4500 AV?

* I get Dolby True HD soundtrack - not Atmos

* I'm using 4k discs with Atmos soundtrack

* Latest software version M36.R.0338

* UBP X800 (NOT M2 model)

* Digital Audio Output - Auto

* BD Audio MIX setting - Off

* Have performed factory resets 

* HDMI settings and lead all suitable

* I get Atmos through Netflix & iTunes movies from Apple TV so don't see this as an AV issue.

Am I missing something simple, or could this be a fault?

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Your UBP X800 does support Atmos using HDMI output.  Check your settings in the X800 - is HDMI output set to Bitstream? On the player it will show as Dolby TrueHD but the Denon 4500 should show Dolby Atmos.

Thanks for responding.

 There is no specific HDMI setting for 'bitstream' on X800, that I can find.  I've tried changing the HDMI audio out from Auto to specific, but this doesn't work either.   Bitstream is usually acheioved with this player by setting:

* Digital Audio Output - Auto

* BD Audio MIX setting - Off

Which I've ready done.

In that case, I can only suggest that you try to Reset to Factory Defaults. It could be some other setting that was changed.  Worth a try.
