Android will not accept my phone, ford sync has not passed the security test, code error 8..red

Hi i have a new L3 my L2/1 worked with android auto using my ford sync 3, a new Fiesta,I have synced the phone  successfully over bluetooth . when i connect with the usb cable a red screen of death appears and in forms me that Ford sync 3 has not past the Android security check,, tried everything. any help Geoff.
