EA1750 firmware on KDL-40W5500

After upgrading with new firmware EA1750/SEP'2011 when change program in DTV mode,for 2 seconds there is no signal and  the message "NO SIGNAL" on screen appears.

It's unacceprtable for SONY after 6 months have nothing did to replace the problematic firmware.

In Athens Sony service asked me to bring the TV to nearest to me Sony service.

Yes, when I open mine (the small cover behind)) and try to put a memory stick (first, large one), it goes....

But there must be a program to read and write the firmware...

Where could we get it ?

hi, after installing a new firmware i am not able to use external device connected to HDMI.

R u really sure is no way to downgrade to oriignal soft?

We better ask Sony if so....

Hi there

As far as Im aware its not possible to downgrade FW updates.  Authorised Sony technicians may have a way via the service menu, but certainly no options for us - of which you would also need a copy of the previous firmware too.
