How to enable 4k on my Sony TV KD-55X7000E

I am using the HDMI cable included with ps4 pro, plugged to HDMI2, and i set its format on Enhanced format from the TV. Yet, can’t set the Master in 4K option to On, it’s grayed out all the way, and doesn’t show up when i’m viewing the settings while on HDMI2 screen.

im not sure if my TV supports the 8bit or 10bit thingy but i set the resolution in psn at 2160p- RGB just in case. What shall i do to maximize the use of both TV and Ps4 pro .. i’m confused

Hi RJnumb,

Welcome to our community!

The mastered in 4K option is there to use when playing content labelled mastered in 4K may it be a DVD or Blu-ray disk through a connected device. As the name suggests, it's not for native 4K content but rather content that has been remastered to upscale it to near 4K quality. The option will only be available when the content played is mastered in 4K.

To make sure you have the optimum settings to enjoy 4K and HDR content I recommend visiting this link: https://bit.ly/2l7UwnN and following the suggestions.
