I did not buy the Sony dongle for this TV as my wi fi router is upstairs and I was concerned about signal strength. Sony advised I could use Home plugs so I promptly invested in a set which works for the TV internet connection. Unfortunately I have now been told that "wifi direct" is not available (to link android tablet/smartphone) UNLESS I have the Sony dongle. The tech spec just says:
Wi-Fi® Direct | Network Update(WLAN Ready model) |
It does not say that Sony dongle is required.
I find this misleading and am reluctant to buy the dongle (in addition to the homeplugs)
If anyone has any idea how this problem can be solved, please help! Thanks!
