So i bought a Sony KDL-40WD650 six years ago. I was (and still am) very satisfied with my purchase because aside from some cons, it's a great tv with amazing colors (especially for gaming). The black color was very good too, nice pitch black when it should and not too bright (washed out) overall. But two months ago everything changed. Suddenly my panel looks like this. It's really notable in a black screen or black backround and less noticable when there are bright colors. It looks like a burn out but i don't think it really is. It looks like some acid was thrown on my tv but obviously nothing like that happened. I just turned on my tv one day and now it looks like this (and no i didn't mess up with the settings). Any ideas or how can i fix this?
Hi CoradMar, that's not a screen burn, this is not an OLED screen.
Try the following:
-Remove any external devices.
-Unplug the TV from the mains.
