Boot with USB Key

Is anyone know if it is possible to boot on an USB key ? My VIO is PCG-K115S. I have tried to generate a boot key with Winimage, but I am affraid that the BIOS is not able to boot.
May we expect, a new BIOS with will handle the USB key ?
Is you have an answer ...:smileyconfused:
Thanks

I f you get some information on howto boot from usb i'll be happy to get them. It seems the bios cannot boot from usb.

I've tried to connect some usb devices i know there are bootable, but anyway they don't appear in boot menu (when F2 key pressed at boot time). Entering the bios i see no way to modify the boot menu and make them appear cause there are not listed...

Sadly the Sony-modified PhoenixBIOS in these systems has been locked-down. In addition the BIOS cannot support booting from ZIP disks or USB devices. As far as I know, the only supported boot items are Optical Drive, Hard Drive, Network, (and redundant on some VAIO's) Floppy Disk Drive

Thats one of the bad things about VAIOs, restricted BIOSes.
