FS415S - Error in Add/Remove Programs!!!

Hey, i recently noticed a really annoying and worrying problem with my Vaio FS415S, XP Home.

I tried to uninstall an Adobe program that was giving me errors, but when i went to Add / Remove Programs i get this....

I cant hit the "Remove" button because it wasnt there, nor was the file size that it usually shows me. This is for a number of programs, and it seems it is only listing about 25% of my installed programs.

Some strange programs are also listed, but again, no remove button. These are

has ANYONE got any ideas before its the good old Recovery disk action!! I tried a System Restore back as far as possible, but no luck

nevermind, the recovery disks are in and have done the job, much faster again and as good as new!!
