Hi all!
Is it possible to change HDD on my VAIO FS115Z ?
I need faster HDD than builtin. I can buy a 7200RPM hdd but can i change it without loosing varranty ? And can i change it at all ?
Yes you can. You don't lose the warranty, but you lose the support.
But I havn't seen a 2,5" HDD with 7500RPM and 100GB. That would be new for me.:smileycool:
You must ask VAIO-Link, whether your VAIO would support a 100GB HDD with 7500RPM.
No the capacity is 60 to 80 Gb. I prefer smaller capacity but faster speed. I have external firewire 200Gb hdd, so capacity isn;t a problem. I just need to have a fast system and swapfile drive.
One quwestion though, is there some instructions to upgrade FS115Z hdd ? on Vaio link site is only instructions to upgrade memory.
7500RPM with an 60GB HDD should be possible.
I would prefer Hitachi/IBM drives. They are not the cheapest, but you would buy excellent quality. I don't whether it would work with a bigger driver.
click me
That should be fine
