I have bought a 2nd hand VAIO laptop but the hard drive was broke so I installed a new hard drive and tried to run a recovery disc, it went so far then stopped, I think there should be more recovery discs? Does anyone know where I can get a full set of recovery discs? The laptop is model: PCG-7D1M and the original operating system was Windows XP Home Edition. I have been running Linux Ubuntu on it for now but would rather have Windows. Can anyone help please but bear in mind that I am not at all IT savvy. Thanks very much

You should be able to purchase a sert of Recovery discs from Sony. Costs vary with model but are usually around £45.
Go here: -
http://support.vaio.sony.eu/computing/vaio/index.aspx?m=0&l=en_GB
and enter your correct model - it will be on the screen bezel. You are not quoting a valid model type, you seem to be quoting the chassis type..
