I've lost a resolution for my screen!

I have the Sony Vaio VPCEC2M1E laptop (is that the right model number?) and I've always had my resolution set to 1400x1050. Today I installed a game for my son to play, and once he was done playing it, the resolution was set to 640x480. When I went into my screen resolution back to the normal 1400x1050, there was no longer an option for this resolution. I have no problem with having small black bars on the side of my screen, and with the 1600x900 resolution, the small text setting is too small to read comfortably and the medium text setting is too large for comfort. What happened to the 1400x1050 setting, and is there any way to get it back? The second biggest resolution after 1600x900 that I am capable of selecting is 1280x768, and that's just ridiculous for a screen this size, and it has far too much black. :slight_frown:

Hi Ivialianna,

Try reinstalling the graphics driver which you should find in C:\Drivers. If you cannot locate it there then have a look here:
