I am having a problem with my keyboard in some programmes. In Work/Excel/Word/Notepad, everytime i type the letter k a pop of saying "spellcheck complete" appears. When I type 2 into any programme the assosiated help file comes up. I have checked all the keyboard settings within the programmes but there is no hotkeys showing. When I use the desk top keyboard from accessablility there is no problem. Any ideas anyone
Sorry to be a pain, but I cannot find the download, Can you point me to the correct part of the web site.
Regards
David
Sorry I don't have your model...
Thankyou anyway. Is there anybody else who can help.

If you're having problems with keystrokes in notepad, which is a very simple program, then I would say your drivers or settings are messed up. Could be the result of a virus or just a random Windows cockup. Run an AV sweep and if all else fails you could try a clean install.

Might be a problem with the keyboard mapping but more likely that another program has specified those keys as a help short cut. Do you have a white circle with an "S" in the middle of it somewhere in the lower right side of your task bar? If so double click on it and see if those keys are assigned to anything.
If that fails try having a look in Start-Settings-ControlPanel-keyboard-hardware-properties. You can update your keyboard drivers here and also some troubleshooter.
