Left mouse button not working - Vaio VPCEA3S1E

I have a Sony Vaio VPCEA3S1E - it's about a year old and over the last 6 months the left mouse button on the trackpad has been becoming less and less responsive. I've had to reverse the mouse buttons because I now have to press down incredibly hard to get the button to work. I want to replace it or the switch underneath but I don't know what part I need to buy or how I would go about replacing it. I realise this will probably involve replacing the whole touchpad. Can anyone advise on what part I need and any guidance that might exist anywhere on how to replace?

Hi pcornall.

If it is less than 12 months old, I would talk to Vaio Support to see if this is covered by the Warranty.

It may have been easier if you did this at 6 months!

Unfortunately I've had it for just over a year so isn't covered by the warranty. Obviously with hindsight sorting it out earlier would have been the best path to follow, but it's too late to worry about that now and I just want to see if I can fix it myself.
