Hi,
I have just bought a vaio A497XP and I must say it's a very good laptop in every aspect.
I want to do a clean install and I have found the drivers (a folder named drivers in HDD C - DIFFICULT!!) but the software is a problem.
I know it is in the EISA partition but can someone tell me how to copy the software I need from there.

Hi JamaJama and welcome to Club Vaio.

All the recovery files are in a hidden partition and if you haven¿t already done so, now is the time to create recovery disks in case anything should happen to your HDD. Have a look here for a guide to this procedure. Most people advise making two or three copies of these disks.
