PC Card slot

I have a PC card slot and was told that it was for wireless, but I have built in wireless as I have a Centino. Can It be used for anything else? Thanks

Hi Tony, thanks v. much for the link. I like the sound of having digital tv but I don't think it'd be compatible I already have a bluetooth dongle and built in wireless so I hope I can find another use.

Yep Kee-Lo it is a PCMCIA, I checked online documentation.

Thanks for the help, and if you do come across anything else I'd be grateful to hear from you.

You may find this link useful. It explains what a PC card is and what it can be used for.
If your notebook is modern and has most functions in-built, the slot is possibly redundant but has expansion and up-grade possibilities for the older PC.

Hi, thanks for the link. I foundthis and thought it looked good. Do you think it would work with any laptop or does it need anything like a tv tuner built in?

I have no knowledge of this particular device, but it looks ok ¿ supports PAL so should work.
Maybe other members have hands on knowledge.

So I don't need TV OUT or a TV tuner built in? Thanks
