Port i-link

Hi,
I want to buy an external hard-drive. I can buy one with a USB 2.0 exit but can I connect this hard-drive to the i-link exit or this i-link is only booked for the videa or the connection between computers ?

No, you need to have a FireWire drive which has a power supply like the Maxtor Personal Storage range.

KEE-LO's right,

all of the external firewire drives i've seen needed an external power supply... were as a external usb drive can be run without an extra power supply... that is only for the 2,5 inch external notebook drives, the regular 3,5 inch externals do need an external power supply.
