Problem with DVD drive

Does the Optiarc DVD RW AD-7560S play audio-CDs? When I try the disk spins but is not recognised. I have already tried reinsalling the drivers.

It should play CDs and DVDs.

How old is the drive?

What Vaio model do you have?

You can try cleaning the lens with a liquid lens cleaner and also look for new firmware.

Does it play DVDs OK?
