Hi,
I just bought a Sony VAIO Pocket 40 GB. I first tried the headphones only in the player, but the sound was pretty horrible. Then I tried the remote and plugged the headphones in it. Sound is great now. Do I always need the remote and headphone? Or is there something wrong with my VAIO Pocket? Thanks for any help.
P.S. Why the hell is the headphone cable so freakin short and can't it be ajusted?
Hi i got mine recently too, i found the headphones included to be ok'ish,, but compared to my sony portable minidisc i thought the sound was a bit weak & not very rich, i had set the equaliser to maximum Bass but it still sounded weak, i then used my in ear sony fontopia headphones, that id bought ages back & always use, and OH MY GOD !! The sound was AMAZING!!! so clear ,rich, and powerfull sounding, the bass was now TOO much (even for my tastes)! so i put the settings back on to slight bass , Of course you dont NEED to use the remote ,, but it IS advised as the battery will last longer using that as opposed to the backlit player screen,,, (even tho when its new the screen & grid buttons are a novelty) If you are happy with the sound then fine,,, but spending out on some good headphones MY GOD You'll notice the difference.....................
Onibaba, which model of Fontopias are you using? Please.
Regards Scratchy.
Hi if you want a decent set headphines I strongly recomend these. They give excellent bass reproduction and provide slight noise cancelling effects. They are by far the best I have owned.:smileytongue:.
I bought it for £25.oo from a Sony shop:smileygrin:
Ye I love them.I bought two pairs, a white pair for my PSP and a black pair for my VAIO Pocket.
Scatchy , hi, these fontopias are old.. but bloody amazing ,( i use nothin else, ive looked all over them and im not sure if its a model number, but the only number found on them ( on the small block where the 2 headphone cables meet the main cable) is MDR-ED136 they also instead of having the flat round in ear headphones have a raised section on each piece to fit a lot more snugly in your ear,,( and dont fall out) i see these other guys also say about some good headphones also,, if in doubt just go in a specialist hi fi shop & grab a decent pair, there must be loads about,,, Good luck & HAPPY LISTNING,,,,:smileyhappy:
