starting windows xp

Hi there, i have a sony pcg-k115z, three months old. I have a little problem with starting windows xp: i have to try 2 or 3 times before windows is getting started. when i turn the power button on, there`s only a black screen with the vaio logo on it. can anybody help me please?

Press the F2 key and see if you can get into the BIOS
if you can, reset the settings and reboot.
