Vaio screen gone dark

Vaio laptop is working fine but the screen has suddnely gone dark. I think the inverter is damaged but not sure. HELP!!

Hi Mizred16,

If possible try attaching an external monitor. If this works then the likelyhood is that there is an inverter problem, a backlight failure or a cable problem.

How dark is the screen? Is it readable without having to shine a light on the screen?
