Yes, my notebook has 1 year now and during the first 3 MONTHS of normal use.... some lettering on keyboard were disappearing!!!! A-M-O-P-S etc....
Just contacted Sony offices for assistance and they refuse to change my keyboard claiming it's normal that lettering could disappear from keyboard...
Anyone has the same problem? Things with my keyboard are ketting worse every day and noone seems to care for a computer I paid over 2.300 euros.
And now, Sony starts to produce WHITE keyboards..... funny isn't it?
Thank you
Daniel
Hi
Welcome to the Forum.
This seems to have been a problem for many owners. I think Sony had a policy of sending out around 5 new keys but I think they may well have abandonded this now. Might be worth giving them a call but bear in mind that a single call is likely to cost you around £6.
Sony regard worn keys as fair wear and tear which has come as a shock to some people who have only had their machine's for a month or two.
See thats bad news - I have had my GRX near on 3 years and the keys are still got their letters on (touches wood (actually Sony VAIO wood should come with VAIOs :smileylaugh:)), so I think Sony should really think about the quality of their keyboards.
As Twisted-Rizla said - you can get 5 keys (wow, generous Sony!)
