Is there allready someone who upgrade his vgna117s notebook to 1g internal memory, wich brand of the memory and if everything is still ok, when maybe using another brand then kingston or crucial, let me all know your experiences, thanks vaio people.

Interestingly enough, Crucial is recommended by Rydium Tweak3D in a review on a GRX316MP (I think you have this don't you Kee?) - so it can't be bad!:smileywink:

Yes I do James... and I'd recomend them to anyone, as I have been fortunate not to have the memory failure... touch wood.

Unluckely in the nethelands we don't have crucial, the vaio dealer said that DANA-ELEC. (see www.tweakers.net) are also good, the shop is around the corner and they have them in store. DANA-ELEC is in europe nr.2 fabric that makes memory parts................ shall I do it? Costs 135euro

That is a shame, but if your sure you know what RAM your notebook requires then go for it.:smileywink:

I was going to suggest if you live on the border crucial.com/de would probably deliver to you...
