Hi All

I have a VGN-C1/B laptop the screen goes blank after the XP flash screen also no out put on an external monitor.

Different hard drive I put Windows 7 on to test I can see the windows 7 flag in the  middle of the screen but very faint,

Has anyone any Ideas?

I'd recommend to check on the BIOS screen to rule out any software problems.

Shut down your VAIO, press the power button once, and press the F2 button several times when you see the VAIO logo on the screen. You should end up in the BIOS, which is a simple text menu.

If that's ok, then at least the basic components are ok. If that is not ok (stripes, corrupted characters) or if you cannot get higher resolution graphics to work, please contact VAIO Support.
