Hi all, one month ago I bought my wonderful VGN-S4M and started to use it at work...and everything was ok..but two days ago it started to became strangely HOT when in use, with the cpu fan working so hard, also when cpu work is at 2-3% !
This sounds so strange to me, because for almost one month the cpu fan started rarely, only after a lot of hours of use...but now, after five minutes, the notebook becomes to be very hot and the fan starts...I don't know what to do.
Do you think it's possible that the hard use of the notebook had damaged it? But, HOW? What can be responsable of "termical madness" of my notebook??
PLEASE TELL ME WHAT DO YOU THINK ABOUT IT, I'LL APPRECIATE...THANKS:smileyhappy:
Also
If I am downloading overnight I use a very basic screen saver and of course turn off the power saver system so it doesn't shut down and turn down the screen brightness . This keeps the temp around idle of 58 degrees. Regularly defragment observation helps too.
Sweet picture
i find that with mine the 'performance' setting keeps mine cooler because the cpu is working the fan to the max. when i turn to 'max battery' the heat gets to hot because the fan is on minimal use and the heat is building up inside, i understand what you mean though.
there have been alot of people with the same concerns on here.
i've now just learnt to live with it.
also you can turn off the power management settings.
I got to say member, you do make me lough TonyBeard
lol:smileylaugh:
OK Lizzie. Place the yappie dog you wish modify straddled over a narrow tree branch legs pointing down. Take your four lengths of string and tie them to each paw. Grab the other end of your four 'leg modifier strings' and attach them to a supermarket trolley and add the desired weight . To achieve best results fill the shopping trolley with dog treats and leave to yap overnight
im in tears
I like that one!

Oh so it worked then hehehe
yep
Yeah it's best to keep the fans on, keeps it cool, might be loud but thats the price to pay
