X-Black colour difference

Hello all,

I have a vaio a115z laptop for use with photoshop, and sketchup. I have noticed though that an images colour on the screen contrasts considerably with the colour of the printed image, and that of a standard lcd monitor. So i'm wondering is there any way to adjust the vaios settings to match those of the printout or to change the printer or software (photoshop) to match the colour profile of the vaio.

Cheers

Jay

of course, there a big difference.

No Sony Display can replace an professional TFT display which was designed of that what you want do. Displays like these are a few price-classes over the ones of Sony.

Matching of color profile doesn't make a real sense. But you should use the same Profile for printer, display and in your software.

Here are the relevent instructions for calibrating your monitor to IEE Colour profiles. Talk to you printer what his profile protocols are for calibration of your monitor to match and allow for some varying results in oranges and pinks and golds for example. I have the same monitor as you and I produce professional output to CMYK from RGB and it is exactly as the monitor displays based on experience. You will find this information in Photoshop help files in CS2 and simularly in CS
