XDR-V1BTD Digital Radio won’t charge

I have a Sony XDR-V1BTD Digital Radio. It won’t charge through the cable and now it beeps and turns itself off when I turn it on (battery showing empty).

I've tried different (all working) sockets. The 5.8V charger/adapter/cable is a sealed unit so no fuse to replace. Any suggestions?

Hi,

Maybe the AC Adaptor is defect but could be the power supply in the radio too.

I would suggest to have it inspected by a service technician.

Thanks Peter, we are arranging for the power supply to be tested, and replaced if necessary as a first step.
