Same problem here with a Xperia X performance (F8131). The rotate function does not works after a while and the only way to get it back for a few minutes is to reboot the phone. The phone was bought in Spain. It is very frustrating and I am dissapointed. If it is not fixed really quick I will not buy Sony in the future for sure.
1. When using YouTube, if I go to a fullscreen video, my phone will remain in landscape mode until I turn the screen off (I don't have to do a full reboot).
2. After using the camera app.
Also, is everyone still having touchscreen accuracy issues? Especially an extra space after typing a later in any keyboard (I use the Sony/Xperia keyboard, but even if I switch to Swift Key or Google's keyboards, it still happens).
I'm using a 64GB Hong Kong dual-sim version of the X Performance (with awesome fingerprint sensor!).
I recommend you try to settings follow my step at last reply. It can resolve problem in my Xperia Now My Xperia is working perfect 100%, auto rotate never stop working again.
Hi guys, I have the same problem, my Xperia X performance (gyro & acelerometer) stops working. I´m trying whit the solution posted in the other page. In other forum I was read about delete AR Efect and Life Log, I hope this helps my Xperia! I am really dissapointed because I alwas say Sony phones are the best,
As others have posted, I disabled the Google App and restarted the phone. Did this yesterday and the phone is working normal which is great. Usually rotate will stop working in less than an hour.
I didn't go through the other steps of deleting my account etc. I just re-enabled it now and it did an update. I'll see if the rotate problem comes back.
People may want to search Android Auto Rotate problem before they decide to ditch the Sony phone.
