My notification LED does not turn on when I have notifications from non-Google apps such as Yahoo mail. Is this normal?
Does this only happen for yahoo app? Check under yahoo mail settings if notifications are enabled.
I see this problem with both Yahoo Mail and Business Calendar 2.
I have issues with all notifications. Seems like in sleep mode (stand by) all apps and processes are deactivated somehow even though the settings are on (notifications for each app and notifications for the phone). Weather Earthquake alert emails battery full notification some examples. Also the light sensor doesn't work when I open the phone (from stand by) so I have to uncheck and check again that adaptive brightness to make it work again. Stamina is not on or other similar battery apps installed and each app has off option for block notification in Notifications section. App power consumption list is empty. My XC is up to date.
@magicaldeck@ghencea-RO any chance the apps are not removed from the battery optimization scheme (not optimized)?
So you say they should be on or off the list to get the notifications? I believe they suppose to be on that optimization list (not optimized) otherwise they might be blocked.
Yes, they should be on the not optimized list.
Yes I do have Yahoo Mail and Business Calendar 2 as "not optimized". This does not seem to help with the LED. The notifications do appear correctly on the notification bar however.
@magicaldeck I have indeed noticed problems with yahoo mail sometimes. The apps might not have full support for android N yet.
