In regards to Sony's new line up the audio is substandard. Especially coming from the company that brought us the walkman. Pioneers in portable audio. More recently I purchased that XA1. Even with the best noise isolating ear bud wired headset it's barely audible in noisy environments like say a shopping mall. I cannot hear callers on the other end. This goes for VoIP calls as well. The music quality is really bad. Virtually no bass response. The iPhone has gotten this right. Why can't Sony compete? I tested several smartphones and Sony's are by far the worst. What's Sony doing? Moreover what are they doing to fix it? Is this a hardware problem?
