Screen won't swipe

Hi I've bought my phone today and my screen will not scroll have I locked it

does it have a screen protector? 

have you restarted the phone?

The screen on my Sony XA ultra will not swipe...back or forth up or down ? It's a new phone any ideas ?? Thanks
