HELP ! I was just trying to play a game when all of the sudden my phone restarted. I had thought it was going to go back to normal, but it just kept restarting without even getting to the home screen. I don't know how old my phone is, but it hasn't had this problem before. I've tried turning off then turning it back on, but it did the same thing. Trired taking out the sim card, still restarting. Any ideas ?
Edit: Hey guys, after being annoyed with the restarting, I had turned off my phone and just plugged it in to let it charge. The display the phone shows when charging was working and showing. After awhile, I turned my phone back on and everything was normal. Don't know if it will work for everyone but it had worked for me.
Hi @GoshDarn, I am sorry to hear about this.
Do you have a SD card mounted in your device? If so, try to remove the SD card. If the phone restarts successfully after you remove the SD card, your SD card may be damaged and in need of replacement.
If this does not work, my suggestion is to is to try to perform a software repair using a computer and Xperia Companion. Keep in mind though that a software repair will erase all user data from the phone.
Try these measures and let me know how it goes!
I had a very similar problem and in my phone it was faulty sd card. Sony technical advisers also told me to check the sim card - if your phone works fine without it you must replace the sim card.
