My Xperia Z3 Dual with KitKat had 2 buttons on the dialer app, one for dialing with SIM#1 and one for dialing with SIM#2. Now with the Lollipop update the dialer app no longer has this 2 buttons, and when I dial a number and then tap on the "send/dial" button it does not ask me to choose the SIM I want to use, it automatically uses SIM#2.
When I tap on a contact a pop-up window ask me to choose the SIM card, but when I dial from the T9 pad this doesn't happen, it directly uses SIM#2.
This is very anoying, is there any solution that doesn't involve using a third party dialer???
Hi,
In Lollipop, you should also be able to choose to dial with SIM#1 or SIM#2. When you open the dialpad you should find two call buttons, one for SIM#1 and the other for SIM#2:

Perhaps you could post a screenshot on your dialpad so we can look closer into it.
I own a Z3 dual, and I see 2 calling buttons when I dial from T9 keypad:
Here is the screenshot of my Z3's dialpad.
Before I had the 2 calling buttons as you show me. This is very strange, I have not installed any app related to the phone, dialpad, nor contacts.
This actually looks strange, did you update your phone via PC Companion ar did you use manual ways like Flashtool?
Quester, I did it via PC Companion. No problems at all with the update. I'll be doiing a factory reset because something must be messing with the dual SIM dialpad, and I think I'm getting the default Lollipop dialpad, I mean the regular for single SIM phones.
Thanks again, and I'll let everyone know what happens.
Can you take a look here?

I use a Third Party dialler called Pixel Pro.
I really wish Sony had some sort of auto sim feature backed into their UI. Moto, etc have this built in.
