Ok so its really close now to being able to see ICS on our phones, excited.
But for those of us not using Windows or Mac, how can we update?
Would it be possible to provide an update Rom to place on our SD cards, so enable us to update that way, as we can do with other phones?
Just wondering that is all.
Okh, here is a good news for you..
If you are on 4.0.3 ( Only Arc S, Neo V, Ray ) then you could update through the mobile itself ( OTA )
The update will be downloaded to your mobile,,,, but you need to be on 4.0.3 to update to 4.0.4
Yes, I use Linux for many years, so I know Wine, but I think, this is not too stable to upgrade my Xperia (and maybe usb problem). But I want native solution, not a workaround. I have there one computer with Win Vista, so I will update over them maybe, but I do not use this computer, because Windows (many BSODs, very slow, unstable,...). Windows is not good OS for 21. century. I tried Win8, but this is ... um... very strange and poor system. Ubuntu is much much better, and Debian too.
Mac is good, but very expensive solution. So I want hear - Sony will provide sw for the Linux.
 - no other possibilities. We want Linux version!
Will this update for Xperia PRO (I think this is the best phone, because super keyboard)? I heard, that update phone is very unstable and slow - is this true? I bought this phone, because ICS update and keyboard...
OK
but we still cannot get 4.03 without windows or mac? lets be honest, it's not good news is it? Why can't sony just do right by their customers and ensure that all of us can upgrade to ics?
Please wait for 2-3 days, everything will be fine
So......... Five days later, still nothing?
so, 17 days later and there is still nothing, are you just hoping i will forget about updating my phone?
Argh..., just bought a Sony xperia sola (great phone after all), but now I see it can't be connected using Linux

Any future plan to support Linux?
No plans at present
