I sent my phone in last week to see if it could be determined why it has poor volume. The phone has no scratches, cracks or other damage. It's never been submerged under water and never had any major problems other than really low sound from the speakers.
Today I receive an email about a quotation. I don't mind paying shipping but something that should be covered under warranty and they are trying to bill me for it? I've already paid 500£ for a phone that's fairly useless when it comes making actual calls. I just got off the phone with support and they have said there isn't any further information but that it will be escalated and I should hear back from someone in 3 - 5 days. This is pretty horrible service.

Since repair process is handled at a local level, it's something that needs to be raised with your local support team. I can also see that you've sent an email to them and thereby, I can only suggest that you wait for a response.

Sadly the issue isn't my fault but it's no longer covered by my warranty because I unlocked my bootloader; ugh. At least it will get fixed, I am hoping they will relock it so that the poor camera quality issue is resolved too.
