MMS messageswith multiple recipients

I am new to Android.  Moved from iPhone.

When I send an mms to multiple recipients, I get a (multipe figures emogi) and the recipients names or numbers are displayed.

The problem....  When I receive an mms that has multiple parties, I can't see the receipients names or phone numbers.so I don't know who is on the text msg.  I see a symbol (multiple figures) so I know the message was sent to me and others but that is all I can see.

Is there a way to resolve this?.  This is a huge limitation.

The great thing about android is that you don't have to settle for the preloaded basic messaging app, you could use the Hangouts app to send and receive MMS/SMS, or you can use other messaging apps that allow you to customize as much as you want
