Hello everyone,

Pictures in my phone seem to be getting corrupt. Many of the pictures in the album get corrupt after a while and show colured lines on the image after a while. Please help.

Do you have this issue with all pictures (Stock pictures, downloaded images and camera pics?

Did you try to move your photos on a PC/Laptop? Same issue?

Could you upload a screenshot on this post?

Yes problem is with pictures irrespective of their source.. Whether taken from camera or received on whats app or stock images.. Yes, once they are corrupt if moved to other device they still remain corrupt

Try to backup your files and format your SD card, it should be a SD card error...

Still you get same result try different SD cards...

I can't view the files attached. Probably images are corrupted. Try to repost on this forum or use an external uploading site

Anyway try to boot phone in safe mode and check if same issue with new photos (downloaded or taken with camera)

Method 1

  • Press and hold the power button
  • Long-press the “Power off” option that appears.
  • The next dialog box will ask you if you want to reboot to safe mode may pop up. Tap OK
    Method 2
  • Turn off the device.
  • Press and hold down the power key  until the phone vibrates.
  • Wait until the Xperia™ logotype disappears.
  • Press and hold the volume down key. The device then restarts in safe mode.
  • To exit safe mode, restart the device.
