Screen access whilst on a call

I can't seem to find settings to access the screen menu when on a call, it won't let me change volume or anything! I was able to set the power button to hang up when on a call but the screen stays dark and I can't access it at all. Thanks

Settings > call > check if you can turn on/off this feature.

Make sure nothing is in front of proximity sensor. Then press home button and then open settings the way you normally open.

Same problem. Phone from the box, this issue appears only with calls, other wise proximity sensor works well. Hope its just software problem, so waiting for SONY to fix this ASAP.

i have the same problem. my screen goes black while on a call. the only way to activate the screen is to press the power button on the side, which kills the call!!

did anybody get back to you on this issue?

Same problem phone all ok 👌 apart from black screen when making call.works ok 👌 on speakerphone
