SONY XPERIA U TOUCH SCREEN PROBLEM

My 3 weeks old sony xperia u has started to lag a bit

and the touch screen has lost responsiveness!!

typing is very difficult now

please help!!

did u try the solution of giving sunbath to front portion on screen for 5-10 minutes... ??

do reply if this solution works for Xperia U also (as this seems to be working for Xperia Sola)

i am also having the same problem a part of the screen doesnt work..bt after some hours it works properly..bt on restart the phone has same problem again..can anyboby help y is this happening? i think this problem is from the date of purchase..plz help..does ics update fix this problem?

i am having the exact same problem,but the wierd thing is that i didnt have this in GB,but since i upgraded my fne 2 ICS i am having this problem...its frustating to type messages and play games such as temple run

I am facing the same problem.

I have purchased Xperia U in May 2012. Touch was working flawless for first 3 months. And then suddenly it satarted showing problem.(touch was unresponsive sometimes specially in typing)

I went to sony authorized service center on Oct 8 2012 & handed over my phone for repair. Its been 13 days that the phone is kept with them & the response for them is "some part required to be replaced and it will take 2-3 days". They still haven’t specified any appropriate date for final delivery of the phone.

do your phones covered by the warranty?

I think it is covered by warranty untill you have broken the screen part.As it is a problem form the internals and a lot many users are faceing it
