I can't update my z3 dual keeps giving engine update failure error 1200
Please help

You might have a firewall and/or antivirus that is blocking the update engine. Also make sure that you computer have the latest version of Java

tried doing it in my z2 disbaled the firewall and anti virus but still get the same error :S:S

Try rebooting everything, pc laptop interner router. Try then. If not make a backup of your device and do a factory reset incase its one of the third apps or not enough space. My z3 didn't want to connect to pc companion, only after removing some apps that i downloaded made it able to connect.

Check your interner connection, try a different USB cable. Thats all i can do

For me the issue was that ipv6 was disabled under my Local area connections.  I just clicked the check box for my network adapter and turned it on.  It works after that.

I have the same problem!  Before Lollipop comes, i did all the latest updates for Android kitkat and it works normally, but for Lollipop, The sony Mobile Engine won't work, they told me that Sony stopped it and make it payable. I tried many solutions, IPV6, connection, Anti virus, nothing worked   so desapointed !

Hello,

i solved this problem by doing this:

Go to the PC Companion Settings, Internet Options, Proxy Settings. Check the Automatically detect proxy settings and press the Test button. A pop with the text "These settings are correct." will appear. Press Ok and close the settings window.

Try again and maybe will work also for you guys.
