z3 cracked screen touch not working

Got my z3 3 weeks ago left it on the boot of my car drove off returned 3 minutes later to find it gone most likely someone picked it up and pocketed it got it replaced as it was insured at a cost of £100 excess got it thursday . On sunday phone in trousers pocket bent down . Come to make a call a few minutes later and wouldnt swipe to use found a crack in the screen . Is this under warrenty? Surely a phone costing so much should be stronger than that ?

Mine had a small crack from the corner of the screen but doesnt go all the way across... only half the screen is functional but sometimes unresponsive... Unfortunately, a cracked screen doesnt come with the warranty and Sony will charge you for a repair

send it to your sony repair centre. They replaced my handset for free

when  you say they repaired yours for free what was the fault on your phone?

i dropped it once and the screen cracked. LCD still working but touch screen non-responsive. I sent it to SBE and i got a new handset within 10 days.

I doubt that its free as a cracked screen doesnt come under the warranty. I have also sent mine to sony, still waiting for them to get back to me

Can you please tell me which country you belongs? I am in India facing same screen crack issue and they are asking for 12K INR for touch screen glass only (which dosen't include LCD.) It was big mistake that I bought this crap.

Hi,

I have a similar problem, the screen has a hairline crack in it, but I haven't got a clue how it got there (No falls or bangs, rest of handset immaculate). 

Who did you send your z3 to to get it fixed? SBE? Is that the Sony repairs place. Did you have to pay anything or did warranty cover it?
