NEW Xperia XZ2 Won't Start

It was the second charge to my phone. It was already charging (like 34%) but after some minutes it just won't start. Even there is no light no vibration, no response.

Some people told me that the battery has dead and it has to charge like 24 hours before it comes to live again. Why this happens

I used to thought that xperia is one of the best series. But now....

Hi people, thanks to everyone for answering.

I had tried everything from your suggestions, but my cell-phone was still dead. So I went to the store where I had bought the phone.

They told me that it was a problem on the hardware, a manufactury problem, that kind of problems shouldn't have to exist. so what they did. They just gave me another phone on the same high category. Because mine was the last one in stock.

Where I live (Bolivia-south america) it's so hard to find a place where you can bought verified sony products.

I guess I will return to sony when the new model on phones, arrives to my continent and country, I'm a litle bit sad, because I will have to wait a long time, till it comes.

Thanks to everyone. Take care Grinning_Face

@DiegoeP

24hrs? that's crazy, try this

connect the phone to a wall charger > press and hold power & volume up for 10 seconds > let it charge for 1 - 2 hours

Hi @DiegoeP, sorry to hear about this.

As @uliwooly mentioned, 24 hours sounds a bit extreme.

Try charging the device for at least 30 minutes. If the battery is drained, it may take up to 30 minutes for your device to respond to the charging. During this time, the screen may remain completely dark, not showing the charging icon.

And as @uliwooly also mentioned, It is recommended that you use a charger that is plugged into a wall socket instead of using a computer (and USB cable) to charge your device.

Try this and let me know how it goes!
