XZ Premium uses USB to stereo audio converter for output & input on Type C port

I was able to use a USB to stereo audio converter to connect Microphone/Headphone/speaker with 3.5mm jack throught to USB Type C port on XZ Premium for audio input/output , USB converter features: DAC supports up to 192 KHz 16/24bit output, ADC supports up to 96KHz 16bit output with Realtek ALC chip. I have yet to try or use wired earphones/headphones utilising USB Type C reversable connector like those of LeEco lossless audio CDLA or HTC, Motorola's solution, can these headphones work since DAC is built into the earphones/headphones? Thx.

Hello,

That's a good piece of news !

Can you please identify the audio adapter you are using and also any phone settings needed to enable please ?

Many thanks,

Regards,

Kevin

I use UNITEK USB to stereo audio converter, support I2S/PCM/TDM with Realtek ALC chip in my region. But the manufacturer could be marketing this product by another name, best chance is to go to Amazon & look under PC or mobile phone accessories.

PS: No device settings of audio is neccessary to enable, except hold down volume up button & power button simultaneously for 10 seconds to reboot & launch USB detection of external devices.

Thank you for the replies - I can't see anything on Amazon UK, but this one on eBay appears to fit your description. Is that it ?  If so are you then plugging in to a USB-C to USB A type adapter similar to this Anker one ? (It provides USB-C equivalent of the old USB2 On The Go functionality).

If it is that (or similar) setup then that is creating the equivalent of the 'proper' USB-C headphone configuration where they have the DAC built-in to the actual headphones.

Kevin

Hi All

Does anyone try this one?

It seems that this adapter might also work with XZ Premium.

Hi all,

I am wondering if I can use a normal Type-C to USB so I can use it as OTG, connect to my DAC/

amp, and still be able to stream spotify.

Do you guys know any settings I have to change pls?

Currently, when I connect directly to my DAC/Amp, it gives options as per below

this is what comes outthis is what comes outon the left is the otg cable and on the right is my DAC/ampon the left is the otg cable and on the right is my DAC/amp
